Terms and Conditions of Hire
Please read these carefully before making your booking.
1 All the above rates are subject to bookings of one hour minimum charge. No clearing up time is allowed for after the event, unless by prior arrangement with the Caretaker. The premises must be vacated by the Letting termination time. Bar Licences will expire 45 minutes before the Letting termination time.
2 The Letting fee must be paid at least 14 days prior to the event. The 50% deposit required is payable at the time of booking.
3 A Surety Deposit of up to £50.00 may be required which will be refunded upon satisfactory inspection of the premises and contents. The hall must be left by the hirer in a clean and tidy condition; this includes the toilets. Should spillages occur, a wet mop must not be used on the polished hall floor but paper wipes/towels can be used. Brooms, dustpan and brushes can be found in the broom cupboard in the hall kitchen.
Please note that the hall will be cleaned promptly following a booking. The premises and contents are hired in the 'as seen' condition, and it is the responsibility of the Hirers to satisfy themselves as to the condition prior to occupation.
4 Stacking of tables and chairs after use: hirers are required to stack all tables and chairs no higher than six at a time, and place them in the storage cupboard. The hall should be left in an Ďas foundí condition. Please do not leave tables and chairs out as it is inconvenient for other hirers.
5 The existing Public and Employer's Liability Insurance indemnity does not cover Hirers in respect of their own Public and Employer's responsibility. There is no Personal Accident cover for the Hirers or any member of their party and Hirers are advised to make their own arrangements to protect themselves, in all respects, from any claim arising out of their occupation of the premises and not covered by the Management.
6 All sub-letting by the Hirer is forbidden.
7 All lettings must be open to the Management Committee, or its Agents, at all times to ensure that the conditions of the letting are being observed.
8 The premises must be left in a tidy condition and all refuse arising from the letting removed from the premises by the Hirer.
9 Doors should be locked, windows closed and all lights extinguished when you leave the premises.
10 Parking on service roads, paths and verges by the hall itself is prohibited. Subsequent to unloading, all vehicles must be removed to the private car park at the junction of
11 Fourteen days' notice is required in the event of cancellation and any consequent cancellation charges will be determined by the circumstances creating the cancellation.
12 The Hirer shall not use the premises for any purpose that will cause offence or inconvenience to local residents or deliberately cause damage or mess.
13 Only non-flammable film is to be shown on the premises and the Hirer is responsible for protecting copyright and payments to the Performing Rights Society.
14 The Management Committee, through its Agents, reserves the right to:
a) impose any or all of these conditions
b) amend these conditions without notice
c) cancel any booking before or during any event where, in its opinion, there is abuse of the Conditions of Hire.
15 Only bookings on the Form of Acceptance signed by the Hirer are accepted.
Failure to comply with these Conditions of Hire may mean that a hire arrangement could be terminated.
